tuesday tunes

this is my favorite song on neon bible.
the day i was accepted to law school, i treated myself
to an arcade fire concert.

it was around february with freezing temperatures in new york.
the show was sold out,
but we heard that if you stood in line, you could probably buy tickets.
we stood in line for four hours.
occasionally we took breaks to the corner coffee shop
but for the most part,
we stood in line.

finally we were in.
right smack dab in the middle of the small venue.
we took off our shoes and wrapped our scarves around our feet.
arcade fire walked in and formed a circle to play their first song
on the floor
in the middle of the venue.
i had to lean way back so the instruments wouldn't hit me in the face.
magical.

love the story... great use of details, TamTam.

agree with Kat. the video made me a little sad. i never liked cowboy movies like that.

sounds like a lot of fun :)
i like the details, too, tg- i can picture it.
i was riding on the train earlier and i listened really listened to ryan adams for the first time today...
i have had his music from your comp. on my ipod for a while but wasn't ever really into listening to it.
i must say that i think i'm hooked. :)
great music for rainy day train rides.
