i needed a stay in night this past friday. i didn't want to read and don't have cable, which leads to watching tv on my computer. i knew this tv series is critically acclaimed even though its viewer ratings are low. it was friday night. i thought it was appropriate to give friday night lights a chance.
so so good!
when i first went to a&m people asked me where i was from and what it was like. i would tell them to watch varsity blues. i dont really like vb, and the accents are horrible, but it gave some insight to small town football culture. fnl is much much better. the accents are almost perfect and they capture the feel of the town. some of the stuff is not entirely believable for small towns (the wheelchair bball team), but could be possible in larger small towns.
watch it. love it.
